The core quote object normalizes cost structures across a global network of money transfer providers into a single, queryable schema:

- **Identity & source:** provider identifiers, ISO country/currency codes, standardized payin/payout methods
- **Financials:** send_amount, received_amount, quoted_rate, quoted_total_fee, fee_items breakdown (fixed and percentage components)
- **Timestamps:** collected_at (observation time), quoted_at (provider quote time), duration (estimated delivery window)
- **Enriched intelligence:** mid_market_rate (interbank rate at exact second of quote), reference_rate_source
- **Derived metrics:** effective_rate (true rate including all fees), relative_fee (total cost as % of send), rate_markup_vs_mid (hidden markup vs mid-market, absolute and relative)
